Sample Answer 1
So one line that I remember from the song is from Taylor Swift’s You’re on Your Own kid. This lyric really struck a chord with me when I first heard it. So I’ve been a huge fan of Taylor Swift for years, so whenever she releases new music, I’m always excited to listen. This particular song came out at a time when I was feeling a bit lost and uncertain about some things in my life.
When I first heard these lines, it felt like a light bulb went off in my head. The way Taylor describes the fleeting nature of moments and the idea that fear shouldn’t hold you back really resonated with me. It gave me a sense of clarity that I hadn’t had before, a reminder that life moves forward no matter what, and it’s up to me how I embrace it. Everything you lose is actually a step you take. This helped me turn the corner and start to see setbacks not as obstacles, but as opportunities to grow.
So now whenever I feel anxious or overwhelmed, I just think of this line and remind myself that the moment is mine to experience and there’s no reason to be afraid. It’s one of those lines that no matter how many times I hear it still feels like it’s speaking directly to me, and it always gives me a little extra courage to move forward.
Part 3
1. Are you good at memorizing things?
Well, it highly depends on what the thing is. If you ask me to remember some vocabulary or some characters, I can remember it very well and this memory can last for long.
On the other side, if you ask me to remember some the roads or direction or money numbers, you’d better kill me. It’s a torture for me to remember directions especially.
2. Do you think children would like the rhythm of songs or poems? Why?
Of course, I think so, based on my own observation. I noticed that these years people, usually they like to create some books for children, where you can find the songs and the fairy tales.
They are written in the form of a rhythmic thing, which means that children can sing it or read it loudly with a clear beat. So that can help children remember the things well, which means children are usually interested in such kind of things.
So in this way they can impress children a lot.
3. Do you think it is easier for children to learn a song or poem than adults? Why?
Even we know that adult memory is superior to that of children. Studies have shown that young children’s ability in memorizing rhymes actually exceed adults.
This might be because kids love rhymes and so they focus more on the rhyming words instead of the overall meaning of it.
So by repetition and admitition, they can remember those rhythmic poems or songs faster and even with better memory.
4. What can people learn from songs or poems?
There is so much to learn and explore from songs and poems because there are the very elements of each human society.
They show many aspects of our culture, for example, the relationship to the past and the ancestors, the faith people have, the fun and the anxieties of this nation.
Music and poetry have imminent powers, for example, they give us energy who have gone through hardships. Or they can change people’s mood.
And poems and sounds occur in all phases of our life, from birth to death.
So they play a very important role in the process of learning and using the mother tongue.
So in extension, they’re also an essential part of learning a foreign language for young people.
