We have come to an age where we use our phone to order food, make payments, get online chat or navigate to find a new location. And today I’d like to talk about an important thing I did on my phone, that is to make a travelling plan.
It happened last year when I travelled to xx and yy, 2 provinces by myself. I made the itineraries and did all the bookings on my phone. So with the help of the phone, I have realized the dream that I made several years ago. That is to go on an independent trip and have in depth experience of the local lifestyle, ethnic, food and tourist attractions.
To start with, I made my reservations of hotels and booked flights on phone apps. Secondly, I made a practical itinerary, combining different recommendations from tourists on different apps, from deciding on a restaurant to planning how much time is needed, what transportation I needed to use to get around for famous tourist instructions. And when I moved from one place to another, I used the navigation app to guide me. I felt safe and a high degree of freedom.
You know, in the past, we had to rely on tourist agencies when we traveled to a new city because we didn’t have such convenient tools to gather information to facilitate us for booking, for payment, for getting around. So with the phone in hand, I could travel basically anywhere I want with all the information necessary. And that was something I did.
I think it’s kind of important with my phone.
Part 3
1. What do you usually do with a cell phone?
Oh well, some common things, you know, chatting with my friends, using different social applications and, you know, study.
Of course you know, because I have downloaded a lot of online dictionaries and some apps that help me to remember the vocabularies which are really useful and way better than the paper dictionary.
Besides, for entertainment, yes, I use the phone to check some videos or watch the dramas instead of watching them on TV because I can. If I use cell phone, I can lie in bed and watch it even in different places. So I guess just like other people, I use cell phone do to do many things.
And currently because of the COVID-19 in China, we have to show our health code and the green code that proves you are not have the, you know, pandemic. So it is a very important thing for us to have a smartphone. Without it, you cannot enter some public place, yes, even some business building.
2. What are the differences between young and old people using a cell phone?
Well, there are lots of differences on the use of cell phones between the old people and young people and the first one that must be the downloaded application and the purpose because As for the old person, they just use that they just use their cell phone to read some news and watch some short videos on the TikTok kids time.
And As for the young people, they, they prefer to use their cell phone to play the mobile games or just to finish some work and study. And, there is one time I taught my dad to play the mobile games and he think it and he thought that it is very difficult because he found that it is impossible for him to integrate the eye and the hand.
And you know that these are the two indispensable parts when you play the mobile games. And he feel that and the mobile games put a lot of pressure on his eyesight.
And for the second difference, there must be the devoted time as we spend on the cell phone. And according to a survey, the average time of the old people spending on the cell phone is less than the three hour. And As for the young people, the time exceeds, exceeds the 10 hours per day. And I think it is very normal and reasonable because the young people has more purpose and more educations as a cell phone. They have to use that for distancing learning, distancing learning and working and playing mobile games.
So it’s very reasonable that the young people devote more time than the old person.
