Sample Answer 1
So I’d like to tell you about my neighbor Chelsea. She’s in her 70s, but honestly you’d never guess it if you met her. She’s just so full of energy and I think she could probably out less people half her age. I got to know her a year ago when I moved into my current house.
She was super friendly from the start, but it wasn’t until we had more conversations that I realized just how incredible she is. What really makes Chelsea stand out is her passion for life. She’s a huge Taylor Swift fan. I mean, like, really dedicated.
While most people her age are probably taking it easy, she’s out there booking flights and following Taylor’s world tours. Once she showed me her collection of tickets from concerts all over the world. She told me about the trip to Singapore, where she danced so much at the concert that she even lost her voice, but she didn’t care.
It was totally worth it and the next morning she was already out exploring the city. Honestly, I don’t know where she gets all that energy. And what inspires me the most is her philosophy of life. She once said, I may not have as many years left as you, but I’ll make every moment matter that stay with me.
To Chelsea, age is not a limitation but a reminder to seize every opportunity. Her stories transcend mere travel or concerts. They embody courage, living in the moment and pushing boundaries. Regardless of age, Talking to Chelsea always leaves me feeling uplifted.
She’s just one of those people who make you want to do more, try harder, and enjoy life more fully. I just feel lucky to know her. It’s like having a constant reminder that life is meant to be led to the fullest, no matter how old you are.
Part 3
1. What jobs need a lot of physical energy?
There’s no doubt that many occupations require intensive physical work, but cleaners and waiters are the two most physically tiring jobs.
I think in China, cleaners in many cities have to get up early, maybe before Daybreak, to sweep the street manually, as many regions do not provide cleaning cars.
Even worse, they have to check every other two hours in order to keep the street clean, otherwise their wages might be deducted.
For waiters in restaurants, they need to serve the dishes and collect the used place for dinners, and they also need to respond at request, which means they have to stand by all the time.
This is quite challenging physically.
2. What is the difference between the payment for physical work and that for mental work?
Well, the payment for the mental work is much higher than physical work, most because only those who have specific professional knowledge can take this kind of job, like the doctor, the teacher or the engineer.
Some of them may spend several years to get the related qualification certification.
So to attract more talent, companies offer higher salary.
But physical work does not have so many requirements.
If a person is tough strong enough, then he or she can take the job.
The salary is not so high because of the low threshold.
3. Can physical workers receive higher salaries in the future?
I don’t think so, because we can witness the rapid development of machinery and artificial intelligence.
Even now, a lot of robots has replaced human labor in the assembly line where there are a lot of physical workers.
From my perspective, in the future, there will be more robots will replace human labor.
At that time, I think the payment of the payment of physical labor, physical workers may even lower than now.
4. Do you think machines could replace human workers in the future?
Well, I think this depends on what kind of industries that we are talking about here.
If we’re talking about some industries is highly physical and repetitive then it is already happening say in the airport.
Plenty of self tracking machines for the boarding tickets and plenty of self checkout services for customers in the supermarkets without needing any stuff.
And there are many airborne robots delivering goods from the warehouses to the doorsteps of the customers.
And I think this is a good trend because it’s cost effective and human labour can be free to do some work that is mentally more challenging, which comes to the type of industries that it cannot be replaced by artificial intelligence, such as in the area of research or works that require creative thinking.
5. Do you think you are an energetic person?
Well, honestly, I don’t think I am an energetic person anymore.
So for one, I had stopped playing badminton.
You know, I used to be addicted to this sport.
I was pretty passionate about this.
I would play badminton for like regularly, at least three times a week, you know, It was crazy, I know.
But now since I have stopped playing sports, you know, I have become a bit lethargic and a bit lazy.
So for example, I can’t really get up in the morning, you know, I just can’t get enough sleep, even if I have got like 8 hours sleep, I just don’t feel like it’s enough, you know?
And secondly, nowadays I lead a very sedentary life.
You know, I am an accountant, and I just sit in the office in front of my computer, you know, typing.
Yeah, That’s all I do.
So because of this, I have become less energetic.
