That’s a very interesting question for me because my major is international journalism. I’ve learned a lot of theories in communication, especially mass communication. One would think I should be interested in news, given my choice of major, right?
However, after reading so much in the news reports, I’ve noticed that news can often be biased, twisted, or distorted. There’s a lot of misinterpreted information in the news that detracts from its authenticity, which has, to some extent, steered me away from it.

I usually get news from the internet. In China, the most popular search engine features a news section that allows for easy access to both domestic and international news.
Additionally, I enjoy consulting news resources such as Reference News, which offers professional analysis and reviews on international issues.

My friends get their news from various sources, including WeChat and Baidu, which offer content from different state-owned media as well as individual media outlets.

Every morning, a morning report is sent to my cellphone screen, where I can review both domestic and international news. So yes, I have read the news today. But I usually just briefly check out the headlines.
