Yes there are. I live in a downtown area where there are numerous crosswalks.
Around my apartment there is a large shopping malls and several schools.
To ensure the safety of pedestrians, there are crosswalks at almost every intersection.
Besides, the roads are wide and busy, so crosswalks are really necessary.
I often see people using them to cross the road, especially during rush hours is really convenient for us to get around.

Yes, I would like to see a better Traffic management during rush hours as Congestion is a common issue.
Additionally, Improving public transportation frequency and adding more bike lanes could help reduce traffic and encourage eco friendly commuting options.

Definitely. There are numerous crosswalks here because I live in the city center, an area with a well-developed transportation system. The wide, multi-lane roads naturally require many crosswalks and traffic lights. These facilities effectively ensure pedestrian safety when crossing streets.

The primary change I’d advocate for is expanding cycling infrastructure. Currently, bike lanes in my area are often too narrow, which compromises safety when cycling to nearby destinations. In addition, for motor vehicle drivers, they often complain that the narrow bicycle lanes cause non-motor vehicles to frequently occupy the motor vehicle lanes, bringing them many thrilling moments.

Yes, there are quite a few crosswalks in my neighborhood, especially near the main roads and around schools. They are well-marked and have traffic lights to ensure pedestrians can cross safely. However, in some quieter residential areas, there are fewer crosswalks, which can make crossing the street a bit inconvenient at times.

2. Is there anything you would like to change about the traffic in your area?

Definitely. One thing I’d like to see , improved is the timing of traffic lights, especially during peak hours. Sometimes the lights seem to cause unnecessary congestion.
Additionally, I think adding more speed bumps or pedestrian crossings in residential areas would make the streets safer, as some drivers tend to speed through neighborhoods.
Overall, better traffic management and more pedestrian-friendly infrastructure would make a big difference.
