1. Do you like to eat cakes or other sweet foods?

Well I’m not gonna lie. I do have sugar cravings from time to time and such a cake lover. However, I do know that cakes are not for every day. They are super evil they are high in sugar, high in fat, high in calories, high in everything. So, I’m trying my best to eat in moderation and trying curb my cravings. I only allow myself to eat cakes on those special occasions like a birthday party, public holiday, some festivals, occasion like that.

2. Did you like to eat cakes as a child?

Definitely, I have strong cravings for them and couldn’t get enough of cakes when i was young. So my mom forbade me to eat alot. Hm come to think of it that’s probably when my addiction to cakes began.

3. Can you make cakes?

Well, to be honest, I don’t have the hand-on capabilities of baking a cake. Because i think it is a time-consuming and complex process. I prefer buying them in a bakery shop instead. However, if i can find the recipe online or from my favourite vloger, i don’t think it will be a challenging thing for me to bake a cake at home provided that i have the essential appliances in the kitchen such as an oven and electrical mixer and so.

4. Are there any traditional Chinese cakes?

Certainly, Chinese cuisine is famous for its rich variety including cakes. For example, during Mid-Autumn Festival, we have moon cakes which is a kind of cake with all kinds of fillings inside. So on this special occasion to celebrate, Chinese buy moon cakes and share them with their family members.

Another example is Niangao, sticky rice cake, which is usually consumed by Chinese during spring festival and we have them to expect a prosperous year ahead. Of course, we also eat them on casual occasions.

5. Do you like to have some desserts after meals?

No, i don’t often have a dessert after the meal. I know it’s a tradition for European cuisine to conclude a meal with a dessert, but the same can’t be said for Chinese cuisine. So usually i don’t do that.

However, if there is something special on the menu which can trick my fancy, i would also give it a try. For example, Sometimes a piece of cheesecake can be a delightful treat for me to end my diner.

To be honest, I don’t like eating cakes or other sweet foods at all. It’s too sweet and unhealthy. I don’t want to put on extra weight either, so I barely eat sweet foods like that.

2. Did you like to eat cakes as a child?

Yes, back when I was a kid, cakes were quite expensive and I hardly had any. I could only eat cakes on my birthday, and I felt like I was the happiest girl in the world at the time.

3. Can you make cakes?

No, I don’t know anything about desserts, let alone make cakes. Actually, I’m not good at cooking, but still I do want to learn.

4. Are there any traditional Chinese cakes?

Sure, we have various traditional Chinese cakes. Using moon cakes as an example, moon cakes are the special food we eat during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Typical moon cakes are round pastries with rich fillings usually made from red bean or lotus seed paste. Some may even contain yolks from salted duck eggs.

5. Do you like to have some desserts after meals?

Actually, when I’m done, I don’t want anything. But sometimes, I do satisfy my
post-dinner sweet tooth with
a bit of ice cream or a piece of pumpkin pie.

Absolutely, I have a sweet tooth, so I really enjoy eating cakes. Cakes are a delightful treat, and they come in such a wide variety of flavors and styles that there’s always something for everyone.

When I was a child, I was so passionate about desserts, especially cream cakes, I ate almost once a week, and I often shared cakes with my mom.

3. Can you make cakes?

Yes, I do know how to bake a cake. It’s a skill I learned from my grandmother, and I’ve been baking cakes from scratch for years. I find the process creative and therapeutic, and it’s always rewarding to enjoy a homemade cake.

4. Are there any traditional Chinese cakes?

Of course. We have various types of cakes like egg cake, rice cake, jujube cake and so on. My favorite is egg cake because it has a soft and delicious taste.
