Sample Answer 1

I’d like to talk about a time when I encountered an issue with my computer. It happened about six months ago, at my home. I was working on a crucial project for my job,and suddenly, my computer screen went blank.

It was a really stressful moment because I had not saved my work for a while. I tried restarting the computer, but it didn’t seem to fix the issue. I checked all the connections and cables, but everything appeared to be in order. I was at a loss for what to do next.

Feeling a bit frustrated, I decided to search for solutions online using my phone. I found a forum where someone had faced a similar problem. The community members suggested trying a specific key combination to force a restart. I followed their advice, and thankfully, my computer came back to life.

Afterward, I immediately saved my work. To prevent such issues in the future, I made sure to update my computer’s software and installed a reliable antivirus program.

This experience taught me the importance of being prepared for technical glitches and the value of seeking help online.Since then, I’ve become more proactive in maintaining my computer’s performance and troubleshooting minor problems on my own.

Sample Answer 2

Oh, I remember this one time when I faced a really frustrating computer problem. It was during my university days, around two years ago, in the middle of the final exam week. I was in my dorm room, working on a major assignment that was due the next day.

I had spent nearly a week researching and compiling data, and I was in the final stages of typing out my report. Everything was going smoothly until, all of a sudden, my computer screen just froze. I couldn’t move the cursor, couldn’t switch between tabs – nothing. I couldn’t believe it. All my work, days of effort, seemed to hang in the balance.

I tried the classic turn it off and turn it back on trick, hoping it would do the magic. But when I restarted, my document was nowhere to be found. I hadn’t saved my work for the last couple of hours, thinking nothing could go wrong, as we usually do.

Feeling a mix of despair and urgency, I decided to consult a friend of mine who was good with computers. He came over and tried a few recovery methods. After what felt like hours, but was probably just about thirty minutes, he managed to retrieve a previous version of the document from the auto-save files. It wasn’t the latest version, but most of my work was intact.

I learned my lesson big time! From that day on, I not only frequently saved my work but also kept backup copies on an external drive and cloud storage. It was a stressful experience, but it taught me the importance of being prepared for unexpected tech glitches.

Part 3

1. What do people do with mobile phones?

As intended, phones today are used for communication. However, people do this via social media apps where they can call or message for free rather than using their mobile networks to text or call.

Phones are also used to surf the net as better mobile data options and free Wi-Fi sites have made phones people’s go-to device when searching for something online.

And people use their phones for entertainment, particularly to listen to music, watch movies, or play games.

2. What do you think of people who are addicted to playing computers?

I think it’s quite easy for people to become addicted to computers and many kids and teens undergo that phase.

Though it’s not anything illegal, I do think those who are still addicted to computers haven’t learned the value of self-control.

I was once addicted too until I nearly failed in math. That’s when I realized I had to control my love of gaming.
